ph Fix is a crushed and screened Calcium Carbonate media that can inexpensively be used to neutralize acidic or low pH water to a neutral. less corrosive effluent. As it neutralizes the water and increases hardness because of the calcium carbonate, a softener is recommended after its use. However, where salt content is high, an antiscalant will be ideal for water.

When properly applied, it corrects pH only enough to reach a non- corrosive equilibrium. It, therefore, does not overcorrect under normal conditions.

Upon contact with pH Fix, acidic waters slowly dissolve the calcium carbonate and raise the pH, which reduces the potential leaching of copper, lead, and other metals found in typical plumbing systems. Periodic backwashing will prevent packing/ caking, reclassify the bed, and ensure better service rates.

Depending on pH, water chemistry, and flow, the pH Fix bed will have to be periodically replenished as the pH Fix gets depleted.
